Fillers

Fillers

Filler materials are particles added to resin or binders (plastics, composites, concrete) that can improve specific properties, make the product cheaper, or a mixture of both. The two largest segments for filler material use is elastomers and plastics.

Plastic fillers can enhance the tensile strength and toughness, boost the heat resistance and increase the quality of color together with plastic’s clarity.

Often, minerals such as calcium carbonate, silica, clay, kaolin and carbon are added as fillers to polymers. While most people think these are simply used to add bulk and lower cost, many of these mineral fillers make them easier to mold and shape while ensuring the stability of the compounds.

Bergchem provides cost-effective fillers that deliver vibrant colors and superior quality for your products.
